Blizzard hasn't published recommended settings for WoW Forever, and what its Modern and Classic visual presets contain isn't announced, so these guides stick to what's confirmed.
Native gamepad support is an official feature, in the beta as Gamepad (Alpha), with its bar set in Edit Mode since October 8. Graphics cards need to be AMD GCN 1, NVIDIA Maxwell, Intel Skylake or newer, and Ctrl+R shows your FPS by default per the community wiki.
Steam Deck support isn't announced, and ConsolePort's Forever support isn't known. Console commands such as the max camera distance work on Classic-era versions per the wiki, but we haven't confirmed them in Forever yet. Source: Blizzard's beta development notes.
