The Legacy System gives every character 16 Legacy Points to spend across three trees (Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness), out of the 65 the account earns from Legacy challenges, one point each. It opens when your first character reaches level 25.

Every character picks its own 16 out of the 65, so a second character starts with the whole pool open. Blizzard said both figures for launch: Deep Dive Panel Recap, and build 1.60.1.70009 has the same two.

When does the Legacy System unlock?
The game says it opens when your first character reaches level 25. That is above the beta's level 20 cap.

Are Legacy Points the same as talent points?
No. They are two currencies: 16 Legacy Points per character for the three Legacy trees, and 51 class talent points. One Adventure talent, Talented, brings the first talent point forward from level 10 to as early as level 5, and the total still stops at 51.

What does the Legacy rewards track give?
Not known yet. The game has a Legacy Rewards tab, and we have not found what it awards in build 1.60.1.70009. Last looked 24 September 2026.
Blizzard has not said, and we have not seen it in game yet.
