Blizzard announced World of Warcraft: Forever at BlizzCon 2026 on September 12 (Blizzard: World of Warcraft at BlizzCon 2026). Blizzard positions it as a permanent home alongside modern and Classic WoW, not a mode, season, or new version of Classic (Blizzard: World of Warcraft: Forever).
Release date: November 4, 2026, 3:00 p.m. PDT/PST globally. Level cap 60, on the original continents, set after Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, in a separate continuity from modern WoW (Blizzard: Carve a New Path).
Access is included with an existing WoW subscription or Game Time. Optional pre-purchase editions: Skyborne Heroic Pack $29.99, Skyborne Epic Pack $59.99, Warcraft Forever Collection $79.99 (limited-time, through January 11, 2027). Name reservation runs October 27 – November 3, 2026 (Blizzard: Pre-Purchase Upgrades).
Headline features per the Deep Dive panel: a neutral Skyborne race, six new race-class combinations (Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, Undead Paladin), an account-wide Legacy System alongside 51-point class talent trees, Camping, nine new dungeons, Hyjal Summit (20) and Barrow Deeps (10) raids, and the Darkspear Islands 15v15 battleground (Blizzard: Deep Dive Panel Recap).
