Build 1.60.1.69913 went up on 2026-09-18. Here is what the Forever beta holds, set beside Classic Era 1.15.9.69722. Every number below is ours, from that comparison, and from no outside source.

  • Interface text: 8,376 lines added, 996 changed, 738 removed.
  • 176 kinds of game data exist in the beta that Era does not have.
  • Spell records: 5,381 added, 4,863 removed. Spell effects: 7,722 added.
  • Race records: 49 added. Class records: all 9 changed (descriptions, armor masks, attack-power scaling fields populated). Talent: 432 entries changed, all of them only in the class field, which is zeroed. That is the old talent table left over from Classic Era; the Forever class trees are the new talent data: Forever talent trees.

The first pass of that comparison was wrong, and this post is the note on it. 47 kinds of data were missing from it, items, zones, maps, factions and the class ability list among them, so it counted every Era record of those kinds as removed. With all of them in, the build holds 31,675 items, 19,171 of them with display data, 73 maps, 1,372 zones and 7,824 class ability rows. The corrected report replaces the list above: Build 1.60.1.69913: what changed since 1.15.9.69722.

Two things about the items are real, not a mistake on our side. First, 12,504 items have no name and no stats yet; Blizzard ships beta builds without display data for content past the current level cap, so expect that number to fall as the cap rises. Second, the beta uses the retail item model: stats, weapon damage and armor are computed from item level rather than carried per item, and item effects hang off a new link between an item and its effects. We compute them the same way the game does; checked against Era values for items that exist in both builds, stats agree within one point on 99.9% of stat lines, weapon damage on 98.9% of weapons and armor on 99.6% of armor pieces. Spell values moved the same way, from base-plus-dice to a midpoint with variance; Fireball rank 1 still resolves to 14 to 22.
