Wizard OilA little preparation for your next spell

Your weapon can lend a hand even when the next move is a spell. Wizard Oil is a Common consumable that requires level 40 and applies to a target weapon. While applied, it increases spell damage and healing by up to 24, with an effect that lasts for 30 minutes. Its appeal is direct: a little preparation before you turn your attention to the fight.

There is something satisfying about the quiet part of getting ready. The equipment is chosen, the supplies are gathered, and you take a moment to consider the small touches that finish the job. This is an item for that moment, when preparation feels like part of the adventure rather than an interruption.

Where it comes from

Enchanting makes Wizard Oil at skill 275, and Formula: Wizard Oil teaches the recipe. The ingredients are 3 Illusion Dust, 2 Firebloom, and a Crystal Vial. If you want to craft it, those are the materials to gather for the recipe. Start with the formula and work through the ingredients: the finished consumable brings together dust, flowers, and a vial in a rather tidy piece of enchanting work. It is a compact shopping note to keep alongside your other crafting goals.

Who should chase it

Spellcasters and healers are the natural audience here. If your favorite part of a fight is choosing the right spell rather than landing the next weapon swing, this is the sort of preparation worth considering for later adventures. You might enjoy pressing the attack, watching over your companions, or simply making sure you arrive ready to contribute. Think about the role you like to play and the supplies you enjoy preparing for it. The attraction is practical, but the ritual of getting ready can be part of the pleasure, too.
