The Cooldown Manager is a new, optional panel in the WoW: Forever beta that lifts your important cooldowns and buffs out of the action bar and the buff bar and puts them in a spot you choose.
Blizzard added it in the September 24 development notes and switched it off by default, so nothing changes until you turn it on. Five classes can test it in this build: Druid, Mage, Priest, Warrior and Warlock; the other four are to follow in later beta updates. Blizzard’s own list of what it cannot do yet is long (no spell ranks, no pet cooldowns, no Healthstone, no item enhancements such as Windfury or poisons, and Priests see every spell tracked by default), so read it as a first look, not a finished feature. The full list is on our beta known issues page.
To try it:
- Open Options and go to the Gameplay Enhancement settings.
- Enable the Cooldown Manager (it is off by default).
- Put the panel where you want it; Blizzard describes its location as fully customizable.
- Tell Blizzard which spells you wish it tracked by default: that is the one piece of feedback the notes ask for.
