A curse should make your enemy’s life harder, not make you wince at the price. Curse of Recklessness takes a cleaner approach in Forever, revising the trade at the heart of the spell while keeping its distinctive control over a cursed enemy’s behavior.
Rank 4 costs 115 Mana, casts instantly, and lasts 2 min. You can deliver it without waiting through a cast, making the choice of curse the important moment. The change is in what you give the target when that moment arrives.
How you get it
Warlocks learn this class ability at level 56. That puts this rank above the current beta level cap of 30, so it belongs to the road ahead rather than your current beta spellbook. For a developing Warlock, it is a later addition to consider as you grow.
What changed in Forever
In Classic Era, Curse of Recklessness increased the target’s melee attack power by 90 while reducing its armor by 640. Forever reduces the target’s armor by 505 and removes that attack power increase from the description. The armor reduction is smaller, but the curse no longer pairs it with a stronger melee opponent.
That changes the decision you are making. The old bargain asked you to accept a more dangerous enemy in exchange for a deeper armor reduction. Forever offers a more straightforward weakening effect instead. When you choose this curse, the appeal is less about accepting a trade and more about choosing the right tool for the fight.
Changed in Forever
now Curses the target with recklessness, reducing the target's armor by 505 for 2 min. Cursed enemies will not flee and will ignore Fear and Horror effects. Only one Curse per Warlock can be active on any one target. |

Who uses it
Affliction, Demonology, and Destruction Warlocks can all find a place for it when armor reduction suits the encounter. Whatever your specialization, this is a spell for players who enjoy making deliberate decisions about their curses. There is satisfaction in choosing an effect for the situation, rather than reaching for the same answer every time.
