When nearby allies need help, a heal that keeps moving has a charm all its own. Chain Heal is a Shaman ability that heals a friendly target, then jumps to additional nearby targets. In Forever, the change is at the beginning of that journey: how much healing the initial target receives.
Rank 1 costs 260 Mana and has a 2.5 sec cast. That gives the spell a deliberate rhythm: choose the ally you want to heal first, commit to the cast, and let the chain carry healing onward.
How you get it
Shaman learns Chain Heal as a class ability at level 40. With today’s beta level cap at 30, this spell is beyond the current beta’s reach. It belongs further along your character’s road, rather than among the abilities you can try today.
What changed in Forever
The description changes from Classic Era 1.15.9 to Forever 1.60.1. The opening heal moves from 320 to 368 down to 233 to 269. For the ally you select, that means a smaller amount of healing from the same spell, with both ends of its healing range reduced.
The chain’s basic pattern remains intact. Each jump is still 50% as effective as the previous target, so the lower starting heal also carries through to the later recipients. The practical difference is healing output, rather than a new way to aim the spell: you still begin with a friendly target and reach nearby allies through its jumps.

Who uses it
Restoration Shamans will appreciate the spell’s focus on healing several allies through a single cast. Elemental and Enhancement Shamans also learn it as part of their class toolkit. Whatever your specialization, it suits moments when help needs to travel beyond the ally you have selected, rather than stop with them.
